enhancements on grips, butts,
rod inlays and even guide decorations. The wood
treatments are
coated four times with flexible marine epoxy.
Even though they are
mirror finished, they grip comparable to cork
or rubber,
even when wet. |

developed all around the guide
foot to prevent air
pockets or hollow spaces from
remaining after the
guides are wrapped and coated. |

Guide
wrappings have two coats of flexible marine |

epoxy
( sanded in between ) and are heated during
application so that the epoxy
totally saturates the
thread and bonds to the underwrapes
and guide foot
fillets. Threads
are wrapped at maximum tensions; after all, the thread
is
actually what secures the guide to the rod. |
