Tommy Farmer
Unites States Casting Champion, is offering a reel tuning service
to those
tournament or fisherman who want to get there reel tuned correctly
for max casting distance.
What Tommy does is tune the reel with the desired line size, .31
mm or .28mm, and
matches ceramic bearings to achieve max spool spin time for the
best balance.
The customer needs to understand that tuning for a 5 min+ spin
time only means
one thing, that the spool/line is properly balanced and adjusted.
The reel cannot
be cast in that configuration. So Tommy will not send it out to
the customer spinning
for 5 mins unless the customer wants to lube the bearings himself,
and that kind of defeats
the purpose of paying Tommy to tune it for you. The customer also
needs to understand
that each time he/she casts the reel and lays the line back on
they can
negatively affect the balance of the spool. So you need to pay
attention to laying the line
evenly on the spool during the retrieve. $65.00

Newly designed Mike Benfield magged side plate. This is a design
that
I asked Mike to do for me. I wanted a side plate for the fisherman
that
has increased strength and is held in place with three screws
just like
the original ABU side plate. This magged side plate will fit
all 5000
and 6000 CT models. Will not work with a level wind reel. It
also
has no line out alarm but because it is interchangeable with
the original
side plate the operator can change back and forth when a line
out
alarm is desired. This is a prototype but I have ten coming
in soon.

Penn 525 magnetic side-plate upgrade.
For the customer who wants to upgrade their
slidy style penn 525 mags. This mag
side plate has the lineout alarm and an eight magnet ratchet style
mag spool control unit.

it much easier to set mag levels and to adjust mag as necessary.

I am now offering a pre fitted, center style, multi mag unit.
I can get most side plates with exception of a couple of international
type ABU reels.
This makes for a much nicer unit because I can pre fit each and
every center mag unit
to ensure proper operation when attached to your reel. It will
only work on
CT style abu reels. I can also do a knobby style single mag unit
if desired.

magnetic control unit provides the operator the
capability to adjust magnetic casting control on their
AVET, which allows for adjustment of magnetic control
unit in all weather conditions, something that can't be
done
with glued in magnets. The magnetic field can be decreased
during the cast to increase casting distance. Price, for
the
magnetic control unit only, is 90.00 USD if mounted by
myself. If you want to do it yourself the cost is 70.00
USD.

AVET, I can order the reel of your choice and put in magnetic
